Coincidence? #Blog #Blogging

I had the opportunity
To meet some people from the “city”
And got to mix football with business
So was invited back to theirs in Chelsea!

A testimonial

I am so pleased to share the latest testimonial from the Notre Dame School in Southwark. Sent by Teresa..

Our Cllr Dorothy #blog #blogging #food

Tomatoes would grow
But not all in a row
Groundnuts did abound
They were also around
I even found yam
As you would on a farm
Green beans in pods
One purple, among the lot!
Strawberries so red
Were growing in the bed
Pears were ripe and sweet
To pick up with ease
I later climbed the black cherry tree
To D’s words of caution and grin
I found rosemary and spinach
Seeding in the low ditch.

God, what game are you playing at? #blog #blogging

Did you ever stop to think that there was a supernatural, higher being who had knowledge, wisdom, control and final mandate over the events in the world? I appreciate that in some instances people may think that He is weak, unable to stop events from happening etc. The fact is that some of these events, as dire as they seem actually prompt people to seek Him. In some instances, people consult mediums, attend seances, seek “mystic meg” types, Follow astrological readings and signs but yet refuse to acknowledge God, or his existence! There is I believe a God-shaped vacuum in every human being seeking Him but gets filled with position, fame, drink, sex, lust for all sorts that bring more emptiness.

It seems that the more we acquire, the more we want…an endless cycle of frustration. The other thing I marvel at is timing! Can you believe that despite the dictates of experts, consultants some things will not happen when we will it but at His timing, giving him super authority over everything. I am so glad I belong to him.

It was only a matter of time… #blog #blogging

Shock! How could I have missed this? I chided myself so strongly. Morning could not come fast enough at 9, I was emailing and phoning them to say I would send the signed documents back ASAP. I could not give up now. It was already 15 days past notification date but I managed to get it in even though the phone, internet and circumstances refused to line up.

Relief came when an email reply said they had been in meetings… but it was the next day, today as I write, when I finally got to speak to someone. So after phone calls, voicemails, emails it took another 24 hours to get confirmation of receipt of my forms. Then they added they were just compiling the final list TODAY!!! Friday. An announcement was planned for Monday.

So what if I had not found those documents in the deleted folder, or responded yesterday? We would have been talking a different story.

What God has ordained for you cannot be snatched away… it may take time or do the rounds but it will still come back home… to you!

The unexpected #blog

That was not all. I became part of the entourage to sit with this dignified individual. Cool stuff. But my M friend was waiting for me. So I had to phone to tell her I had upgraded Travel for which she complained that I would no longer be sitting with her. Oh dear. So I agreed with her that I would sit beside her. Only I had not realised how difficult it would be to keep that promise

It’s who you know! #blog

Women have a role

To play here and away

And given the opportunity

People can easily see

That policies hostile, it’s unreal

Can get a second review

Cos where it’s so hard to see

That people are suffering

A change of hands

May be just the thing

To expose reality.

Making hay in the rain

It’s was just another morning! You appreciate by now that I refer to God as my daddy and He’s my best friend. Without getting into too much debate about his gender in a world where this issue evokes a variety of emotions for both sides, let me tell you more about Him. Well, I refer…

Phew!

Phew! A few crazy days with late nights at the office meant I was getting a little tired and needed a good night’s rest. I simply said ‘Lord you need to wake me up in time for the Schools session tomorrow” You see I have come to depend on Him for everything including being my…

Why volunteer?

Jon Gildersleeve this is for you! Thanks for asking me to write about volunteering. Why I got volunteering: It was an interesting concept to me years ago, that if I was not working, I could get some experience, gain new skills and make friends by giving my time, whilst getting expenses covered. It was a…
