It was only a matter of time… #blog #blogging

Shock! How could I have missed this? I chided myself so strongly. Morning could not come fast enough at 9, I was emailing and phoning them to say I would send the signed documents back ASAP. I could not give up now. It was already 15 days past notification date but I managed to get it in even though the phone, internet and circumstances refused to line up.

Relief came when an email reply said they had been in meetings… but it was the next day, today as I write, when I finally got to speak to someone. So after phone calls, voicemails, emails it took another 24 hours to get confirmation of receipt of my forms. Then they added they were just compiling the final list TODAY!!! Friday. An announcement was planned for Monday.

So what if I had not found those documents in the deleted folder, or responded yesterday? We would have been talking a different story.

What God has ordained for you cannot be snatched away… it may take time or do the rounds but it will still come back home… to you!

Is she the right one? #blog #blogging

So I was attending a wedding 🎩 👰 where the bride and groom were about to exchange their vows. The minister asked for the one giving her away and her father came forward claiming it was him. The minister asked if he was happy with the proceedings so far because another previous ceremony had left the father of the bride then, quite upset. This father said he was.

Next the minister asked the groom to lift up the veil to check if he had the right woman at the altar. The congregation burst into rapturous laughter as he reminded us this was not the first time a bride 👰 had been switched for the groom.

Finance lessons taught by Mummy! #blog #blogging

My mum noticed that we would sit on the fence outside the house and buy anything the “street hawkers” were peddling so that when the day was up, or rarely, week was up we were broke. For some reason I started learning to save my money as I was not sure about our spending. I would then bail out or help others if they needed money.

What I like best was that my mum studied our spending patterns and realised (market research) we were spending on sweets and worked out the type of sweets we bought by asking – survey.

That’s how we began to run a sweet shop in the store of mummy’s kitchen.

Walking 🚶‍♀️with Mayor #blog #blogging

I spent a reflective and fun day with the beautiful Madam Mayor, Cllr Sanchia Alasia.
Very easy to talk to and soft spoken and direct, we were spending the time raising funds for her three chosen charities: Endometriosis, Pennu and Afruca. They could not be more diverse as they cater for suffers of a condition where womb tissue grows outside it; for wellbeing of the maturing people and campaign against child abuse / human trafficking, respectively.
So after the night before

Living with mum, can be fun but… #blog

Her wisdom surpasses mine in so many ways. She’s seen it all, “almost,” so when she says to go to Costco and buy in bulk to save it deserves more than a cursory nod of the head in agreement. I take her point. She’s so right about these things.

What’s your #bMoneywize story?

One parent’s perspective “Not a lot parents will go out of their way to see things from their kids perspective. To take an interest and understand that age generation and pinpoint that they will forever be attracted to games. It’s a parent’s love for their children. There’s no smarter way to teach kids than games….

Another suddenly #blog #blogging

Regretting the fact that I had neglected to follow the instruction to send ahead to the participants, some documents to read, I slightly asked Daddy to intervene. Hence the need to access the email on my phone so I could ask someone in our destination’s support team to print some copies for the meeting. One of our team brought a copy and Coulter too. Thank Daddy for his sense of humour.

During this meeting, I heard myself begin to say things I had no prior planning to utter, but seemed to meet the need at the time. Many questions and demonstrations later we were out.

The big 40! #blog #blogging

I asked the First Lady for permission to get people on the train to sing her a song. She was politely arguing her refusal when I suddenly jolt-started her by getting up and making a plea. Somewhat unusual for dressed ladies with lipstick as this was a usual thing with people who had either musical instruments or tins to collect money.

So unqualified yet God-qualified #blog #blogging

How well will it go to say to a King you have come on a mission to release their workforce from ‘slavery and oppression’ of a cruel rule? Not nice or easy. As if that was not bad enough, Daddy says, “by the way, this King will give you a tough time and I will need to do some killing before he lets you release my People!”

An impossible task made in heaven and articulated to man on earth.
