Kingsley holds more than you think!
A conversation I had by inspiration, told me that people would not just stay home, refusing to leave the house or do anything, because they feared for their life, or of being killed or being involved in an accident. They still made appointments, with no idea whether they would live the next day. I was encouraged to make plans, prepare for good things and take steps towards those goals. The best part, I see now, is the power of writing things down.
What most people might take for granted, choosing to upgrade a phone at the end of a contract, turned out to be an uphill task for me, punctuated with so many emotions. I used to get told what make of phone to sign up for. Now, I had the choice…the freedom, to pick and…
It’s been a truly humbling week. One that deserves me taking back the complaining comments I have made in the past.
God is faithful and does not make sense too. But He’s God. 😁
I love the way He’s always reaching out to us. Take for example the lyrics of the song “Reckless Love”
Imagine how much I battled with posting the words, “Jesus is coming soon.” It is a statement not a topic for debate. He just is. You see when we start to reflect on life and truly realise it’s all about and for Him, God, we begin to grasp a little bit about His Love.
Tomatoes would grow
But not all in a row
Groundnuts did abound
They were also around
I even found yam
As you would on a farm
Green beans in pods
One purple, among the lot!
Strawberries so red

To D’s words of caution and grin
I found rosemary and spinach
Seeding in the low ditch.
I spent a reflective and fun day with the beautiful Madam Mayor, Cllr Sanchia Alasia. Very easy to talk to and soft spoken and direct, we were spending the time raising funds for her three chosen charities: Endometriosis, Pennu and Afruca. They could not be more diverse as they cater for suffers of a condition where womb tissue grows outside it; for wellbeing of the maturing people and campaign against child abuse / human trafficking, respectively. So after the night before
Her wisdom surpasses mine in so many ways. She’s seen it all, “almost,” so when she says to go to Costco and buy in bulk to save it deserves more than a cursory nod of the head in agreement. I take her point. She’s so right about these things.
I asked the First Lady for permission to get people on the train to sing her a song. She was politely arguing her refusal when I suddenly jolt-started her by getting up and making a plea. Somewhat unusual for dressed ladies with lipstick as this was a usual thing with people who had either musical instruments or tins to collect money.
Local paper lady says “I’m helpless” after being beaten by husband! I think DV could be suffered by either gender and that is what makes it such a complex subject or argument which usually favours the female. Why would a human being blessed with intelligence, skill, “faculties”, charm, know how and every endowment needed to…
